Nose and throat cause many ear troubles. An infection goes along the middle ear and causes temporary deafness. Don't Sabotage Your Diet

I have always tried to keep my diet simple. But, it is not that easy as it sounds. It’s pretty tough to follow it regularly. There are innumerable factors that affect health. Soothe your mind

It took a lot of time for me to understand that meditation is actually the best possible way to attain peace of mind. I have been doing it for a past few weeks. I wake up early in the morning to keep the disturbances aloof, and get dressed in one of the most comfortable clothes that I have, and select a place that ensures me peace. After everything is set, I sit in a correct posture and start my meditation which makes me realize the inner tranquility and the quest for utmost peace. It is not just peace, but is much more than that. The challenges which I faced in the beginning are plenty. I just was not able to sit erect. It is common among most of the folks these days. It needs a lot of practice to do them. But I decided to put my entire heart and soul into it and was able to achieve it. I used support of some pillars during the early stages and it helped me gain rigidity. The numbers of distractions that I came across were plenty. But, early morning sessions were peaceful and I was able to overcome it. It certainly helped me to examine my ambition.

Reduce your eye strain


While reading, sit erect and hold the printed page not less than 32 cms from the eyes and perpendicular to the line of vision. Concentration is much easier in good light than in a poor light. Do not read while lying down. During reading look away and around the room at frequent intervals to rest the focusing muscles. Symptoms of eye strain may occur in other parts of the body also, e.g. repeated headache, dizziness, nausea, vomiting and twitching of the eyelids. General tired feeling may also be due to eye strain. If rest, outdoor exercise and treatment for general disorders fail to prevent eye strain, consult your health nurse or a competent eye specialist.

Emotional maturity

Your often lose your temper and feel very much annoyed when things don’t go the way you desire. This may be due to lack of emotional maturity. Children of such parents, who do not get easily disturbed and upset, tend to grow emotionally mature. An emotionally mature person will restrain himself and will not be easily disturbed by his immediate impulses. There are some feelings which you accept and keep to yourself. There are some which you express and share with others. Such a control to one’s emotions is not learnt in day or two. You slowly learn to have more and more control on yourself. Emotional maturity helps you to have an attractive and charming personality. It makes you socially acceptable person.

Man’s culture has brought him health as well as illness. Our social taboos and beliefs based on religious code do not permit us to cultivate some good habits. One the other hand, good healthy habits based on religious as well as a scientific ways of living are not practiced because of our negligence. We have to follow the scientific way of living for maintaining our health. We should give up all misconceptions about health and try to get correct information and practice it daily which results in good healthy habits. Healthy habits also build healthy personality which is associated with good character.

Every human being likes to enjoy his life to the fullest extent. Life can be enjoyed in real sense when one possesses good health. Good health depends on good person health practices. Among many other factors and conditions influencing the health of an individual and the community is the day-to-day activities of human beings in life. Personal health practices such as care of body, care of teeth, care of feet and nails, habits regarding eating, diet, exercise, sleeping, smoking and drinking can be called as personal hygiene. Negligence of these activities may affect our health. For example bad oral hygiene leads to dental caries, dirty nails may harbor germs that lead to worm infestation and intestinal troubles and lack of sleep leads to lack of concentration, drowsiness and inability to perform work with zeal and energy.
