Let all nature, both internal and external; be surcharged and saturated with the cosmic vibration of universal peace, love and friendship. Let the winds in all directions carrying from us the message of faith and understanding to all beings in the universe. Let the rivers flow, singing to all the sweetest melody of universal tolerance and acceptance. Let the sun overhead bathe us with the light of appreciation and service. Let evenings and dawns, earth and sky, mountains and forests, beasts and birds, be filled and inspired with the sacred feeling of brotherhood. Let every breath that flows from us create a strong current of universal and divine service for all beings. Peace, be unto us and all beings in the universe.

Office exercises
Nowadays, city dwellers hardly find time to exercise. Hence I would like to suggest a few standing and sitting exercises that can be done at your office desk. Sit in a comfortable chair. Extend your arm in front, keep the palm facing upwards and hold the fingers with your other hand. Stay in position for 30 seconds and repeat the same for the other hand. This exercise would reduce tension in wrist and palm. Next, take your hands to your shoulders and push back the shoulders while keeping the elbows down. Hold in the same position for 20 seconds and release. Follow the same for five times. This exercise would reduce the tension in shoulders and upper back.

kid's health (Part 2)
3. Parents should be good role models with healthy eating habits in order to encourage their children follow them. Do not complain about food in front of children as it would make them unlike the item forever. Talk about the nutrients in different food items and explain their benefits. That would create a positive feeling about the food. 4. Do not force kids to consume food that they don’t like. I have seen most parents controlling their kids at the table. Do not control them at the table as it would make them less happy with the food and also with you. 5. If possible, involve kids in preparing meals. Let them do small and safer chores in kitchen as it would give way for them to learn more about the ingredients and preparation. Give them age-appropriate tasks. Follow these habits and share your experience with me. Have a nice day!

kid's health (Part 1)
Healthy eating habits ensure healthy body condition. Though it is difficult to follow smart eating habits in this juggling busy timetable, incorporating healthy eating habits would definitely lead to better living. In this post, I would like to share the best five healthy eating strategies for kids that should be followed in routine. 1. Nothing is as effective as having meals at regular time. Have meals with your family as it is a soothing ritual for all. Add more vegetables, fruits and grains in your diet while avoiding unhealthy junk foods. Lower your consumption of snacks and oily food. It is much healthier if you could avoid smoking, and drinking alcohol. 2. Serve a variety of healthy food. Younger ones are especially attracted to variety food and hence eat more. However, limit fast food items and fatty snacks.

Juxtapose your diet with these tips
Looking fit, slim and getting into stylish clothes is what many would love to do, but they shy away as they realize that they need to shed the extra pounds before donning such clothes. Here I would suggest you some tools to enhance your efforts to reduce body weight. One way to influence your intake of food is by hanging a mirror in the dining area. Looking at your mirror image can motivate you to adhere to the weight loss program. Prior to your meal, clean the kitchen clutter and wipe down the kitchen counters. The effort to clean up the kitchen and clearing the trash makes you stay focused and stick to the diet. These are some of the tips that can get one determined and focused on the diet plan. These tips would perhaps serve as a additional tool to enhance one’s efforts.

Summer couture
Enough can never be said about summer dressing. Every summer brings with it a host of fashion challenges. White being the safe, summer favorite. What about other trends? Let me suggest some fashion forecasts for this season…
Maxi dresses are still in, so are jumpsuits. Linens with a little detailing and the silhouette are still skinny, so wear skinny trousers. Mix bright colors, don’t stick to the usual pastel palette. Orange, yellow, peach, blue, apple greens are hit colors. Short lengths and flowy drapes with little prints on the fabric might serve best. Shorter the better and it is better to wear knee-length skirts and dresses. Cut out the detailing and keep the clothes classy and simple. The look for the summer is effortless yet easily coordinated. A selective extravagance, with only truly luxurious piece might give a recession-friendly look!

Lie low - Part 2
It also depends on the situation or the person. Some may prefer to keep quiet when in a bad mood while others may like to talk to feel better. So, before you proceed, it is advisable to understand the person. Make an effort to get to know your partner; friends or family better. It is a general notion that we need to talk to appear intelligent. That’s quite a myth. People who keep quite tend to look very serious and thus more intelligent. Moreover a person, who is really clever, will not talk unnecessarily. But keeping quite will not help always. If you have been really tolerant to some situation or a person and if you feel that you have to keep quiet for long and there is not point in remaining silent anymore then speak up. There is nothing wrong in raising your voice when needed. But back off when it comes to gossiping about your friends, colleagues or boss.

Lie low – Part 1
How often have you lost your temper and shouted at your friends, only to regret it later? How many times have you seen things turning against you after that spicy tittle-tattle about your colleague or boss? How often have you felt that you should have just kept quiet instead of venting your feelings? Knowing when to keep quiet is an art. Most people find it very difficult to keep quiet and do not want to be reclusive when they see people around them blabbering non-stop. But little do they realize that gossiping and small talk may be fun for the time being but may have serious repercussions later. Learning when to talk and not to, is quite a task. So, how do we imbibe this talent in us? “Catch them young. If parents teach their children when to talk and when not to, then they do not have to learn about it in adulthood,”

World at your feet

Keep your knees smooth by rubbing fresh lime juice on them occasionally. You could also massage them with a nourishing cream. If your heels crack due to excessive dryness or by the use of an alkaline soap, it can be treated by washing it at night with warm water and a mild soap. Any mild soap or antibacterial soap works fine. You can also scrub your feet with a long handle brush to do away with the dead cells. Also apply creams that are rich in glycerin and rose water. While giving yourself a pedicure, soak your tired feet alternatively in hot and cold water.
