3. Parents should be good role models with healthy eating habits in order to encourage their children follow them. Do not complain about food in front of children as it would make them unlike the item forever. Talk about the nutrients in different food items and explain their benefits. That would create a positive feeling about the food. 4. Do not force kids to consume food that they don’t like. I have seen most parents controlling their kids at the table. Do not control them at the table as it would make them less happy with the food and also with you. 5. If possible, involve kids in preparing meals. Let them do small and safer chores in kitchen as it would give way for them to learn more about the ingredients and preparation. Give them age-appropriate tasks.
